We are looking for a colleague to join our team as a Head of Legal Department. We are Vrgineers a small US-Czecht technological startup, specializing in virtual and mixed reality. We are seeking someone responsible, fluent in English with good understanding of Delaware law, living in Prague, Czech Republic.

What will your job description be?

  • Preparation of contract documentation
  • Preparation of materials and execution of export licenses with internal attorneys and backoffice team
  • Resolving disputes with subcontracts and clients
  • Supervision of Vrgineers legal advisors and law firms
  • Review documentation submitted by contractors
  • Developing a strategy for renewing contractual relationships
  • Managing trademarks
  • Active participation in the development of individual projects
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating the legal terms of commercial contracts
  • Legal analysis, identification and mitigation of legal risks
  • Reviewing tenders and other binding documents
  • Overseeing of NDAs (communicating and sharing information between partners and internal attorneys or legal advisors during the NDA signature process)
  • Overseeing Vrgineers and XTAL trademarks & patents validity and support of filling new application

We would like to welcome a colleague to join our team as a Financial Accountant in the Finance Department. In this role, you will be involved in the day-to-day accounting and finance agenda of the company, but you will also have the opportunity to work on interesting and long-term projects and gain valuable experience for your future career development. Previous work experience in this area is not a requirement, we are happy to work with a graduate as well as an experienced accountant.

What will you be responsible for?

  • Keeping the company accounts in accordance with CAS
  • Daily posting of incoming invoices in conjunction with the junior accountant
  • Accounting for card payments
  • Travel, bank and treasury accounting
  • Assets and inventory accounting
  • Assisting with the monthly financial statements
  • Carrying out regular inventories of the accounts under his/her responsibility
  • Assisting in the preparation of reports and communicating with government authorities in the performance of external audits and controls.
  • Assisting in the development of the Odoo information system.
  • Collaborating with other departments

We develop high-end flight training simulators and our own VR headset XTAL for virtual and mixed reality. Our customers include military and non-military aviation organizations around the world. Your role will be to develop FW for various embedded hardware in these devices. You will use modern STM32 RISC microcontrollers combined with various RTOSes (FreeRTOS, Azure ThreadX) and integrate the systems built on them into Windows PCs. The VR environment is rapidly evolving, so we emphasize iterative development and rapid prototyping. At the same time, we aim for high reliability as we develop professional training devices. We don’t set small goals.

What will be your main task?

  • developing firmware for STM32 microcontrollers, programming low-level communication libraries and drivers for Windows PCs.
  • design, implementation and integration of communication protocols
  • controlling chips working on DisplayPort, MIPI DSI/CSI, USB protocols, etc.
  • collaboration on architecture design, technology selection, project planning and work estimation
  • collaborating with other local and international vendors to solve problems

What shouldn’t you miss?

  • a university degree with a focus on programming or electronics, or a university degree, high school with subsequent work experience in the field
  • good knowledge of C programming language
  • ability to read electrical schematics
  • at least 3 years of working experience in embedded software development
  • knowledge of microcontrollers (DMA, timers, ADC), protocols (I2C, SPI, UART) and measuring tools (oscilloscope, log analyzer)
  • English at a communicative level
  • willingness to come to the office in person and actively participate in the project within the team
  • ability to work with GIT versioning software
  • flexibility, willingness to adapt to project requirements

What knowledge and experience is an advantage?

  • experience with STM32 and Cube IDE platform
  • knowledge of C++ and C# programming languages
  • knowledge of Ethernet and network protocols (TCP, UDP, DHCP, mDNS, …)
  • knowledge of USB (descriptors, USB transfers, USB classes, …)
  • advanced knowledge of Windows and Windows API
  • experience with Python and Powershell scripting

If you are enthusiastic about airplanes and simulators and you have very good organizational and management skills, please consider applying for this role. Aircraft Simulator Manager (Delivery Manager) is in charge of a small team overseeing planning and realization of Vrgineers simulator installations around the world. This work requires someone who is fluent in English enthusiastic about airplanes and cockpits with a positive relationship to aerospace and defence industry. Someone who is excited about new technologies while being curious about airplanes and everything connected with flying or flight simulators.

The main Simulators agenda:

  • Simulators manufacturing and installation organisation & oversight
  1. Meeting organization (setting agenda, inviting necessary people, maintaining a task lists and controlling the delivery)
  2. Resource planning, allocation planning (who should be where doing what)
  3. Alignment and synchronization between internal departments and clients about installation/delivery
  4. Crafting an installation schedule with list of connected work
  5. Allocating appropriate resources within the company in between different departments
  6. Creating a check lists and task lists connected with installation such as (visa, accommodation, shipping, export licenses, finalized packing, software license purchases etc.)
  • Learning about different airplanes, their cockpit configurations and support document preparation for sales offers and manufacturing execution
  • Ideally previous experience in companies such as Honeywell, Dassault Aerospace, Bell, Boeing, or other Airplane

Legal & Administration Agenda

  • A significant part of the workload is connected with legal and administration connected with simulators delivery (dual-use equipment)
  • It is necessary for Delivery Manager to assure that all partners have signed NDAs (communicating and sharing information between partners and internal attorneys or legal advisors during the NDA signature process)
  • Handling preparation and participating on contract negotiation (briefing attorneys and legal advisors and presenting drafted contracts to management and partners)
  • Preparation of materials and execution of export licenses with internal attorneys and backoffice team
  • Selection and supervision of Vrgineers legal advisors and law firms
  • Overseeing Vrgineers and XTAL trademarks & patents validity and support of filling new applications
  • Cooperation with other departments in a connection with project delivery and its legal aspects (R&D, Manufacturing, Finance)
