Taipei, Taiwan – September 2025
Vrgineers Inc., a Czech–U.S. company specializing in advanced jet-fighter pilot training technologies, will debut its revolutionary Somnium VR1 Mixed Reality (MR) headset at the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) 2025.
Developed with direct feedback from U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy pilots, the Somnium VR1 MR delivers unprecedented immersion through state-of-the-art mixed reality technology combined with full-scale jet-fighter cockpit replicas. This marks the first-ever presentation of this groundbreaking technology in Taiwan and the broader Asia-Pacific region.
Backed by Taiwania Capital and supported by the Czech-Taiwan Chamber of Commerce, the Somnium VR1 MR incorporates a high percentage of Taiwanese components, ensuring exceptional performance while maintaining compliance with the strictest security and defense standards.
The headset provides pilots with a cost-efficient, high-fidelity training solution, helping overcome the limitations of traditional simulator access. In collaboration with Taiwan-based BKS Tech, Vrgineers integrates custom-developed hybrid cables, delivering unmatched data bandwidth and reliability for next-generation pilot training systems.

“We are proud to introduce the Somnium VR1 MR to Taiwan,” said Marek Polčák, the founder and CEO at Vrgineers Inc. “This partnership underscores our commitment to leveraging Taiwanese innovation and advancing global defense training capabilities.”
Alice Rezková, the Director of the Czech-Taiwanese Business Chamber and the Southeast Asia specialist, comments: “The Vrgineers project not only showcases world-class mixed reality capabilities for defense training but also underlines the strong potential of Czech–Taiwanese cooperation in high-tech sectors. We are proud to support partnerships that contribute to greater resilience, security, and competitiveness in the global aerospace and defense ecosystem.“
Vrgineers invites media representatives, defense industry professionals, and technology enthusiasts to experience the future of pilot training at the TADTE 2025 exhibition in Taipei.
